Indianola Historical Society Community Project

10/8/2024

Come join us in a Community Project for the Indianola HIstorical society at the Community Building in Indianola on October 8, 2024 at 7:00 pm.

Scott Yates, the Gift Planning Officer for the Catholic Foundation of Southern Nebraska, is working with Vicki Malleck and Griff Malleck's family in coordinating the Gifting of the One Room School, Black Smith Shop, and a large tent to the Indianola Historical Society to be moved from the Griff Malleck farm south of Indianola to the Historical lot along Highway 6 & 34 and Main Street in Indianola NE.

Scott called Paul Schaffert on September 27, 2024 and said that Vicki Malleck had contacted him about a gift she wanted to donate to the Catholic Church in McCook, NE and in talking to Vick she mentioned that they were gifting the above items to the Indianola HIstorical Society (a non-profit orangization) and they would move them to Indianola.

Scott said he could help with this transaction and through the foundation help the Indianola Historical Society receive this gift from the Malleck's by working with the foundation's legal team at no charge to our organization. They do this for many organizations helpng people who want to give gifts of Love, Money, grain crops, old farm equipment, properties, automobile, etc. They work with auctioneers and salesmen to help sell these items or goods and then the monies go to the non-profit organization.

Scott wants to attend the next historical meeting on October 8, 2024, at the Community Building at 7:00pm to show how their organization can help the Indianola Historical Society receive these gifts without implications. Scott mentioned he works with the head of the Historical Society in the State of Nebraska. Scott also asked if the group could get people in the community to come to the next meeting so they too could learn more about how the Catholic Foundation of Southern nebraska works. They work with Fire Departments, Police Departments, Historical Societies, and many other types of community organizations. This is a big project and undertaking for the Malleck Family and the Indianola Historical Society and we need your help in making this a successful project.

Sincerely,

Paul Schaffert
