Lead Line questionnaire

2/22/2024

In every property owner/renter utility billing a lead line inventory questionnaire has been added with the current utiltiy bill. We ask that they are filled out and mailed/dropped off to office/put in night drop for the City. After we have gathered all of the questionnaires an inventory list will be made and we are required to send it to the state.  You can find the questionnaire on our website in the water department.

City of Indianola Sanitation

Due to increased costs at the McCook Transfer Station the company the City contracts with for trash collection has had to raise their prices  With this increase to the City, the City has raised their price of trash collection for residents and businesses. These new rates will be reflected on the utility bills that will be due February 10. 2024.

Water Meters

The City of Indianola has purchased new radio read water meters. City Plumbing from Kearney is in the process of installing these. The utility bills read in November will reflect usage with new meters and these meters will read more accurate.

Please refrain from using roundup or other chemicals around your loved ones' stones. By spraying, it just doesn't affect your stone it affects other plots as well because of leaching. The buffalo grass is a shared system. We are trying to get grass to grow.
