Drought Retention Contingency Plan

The City Council of Indianola met June 1, 2026 and discussed a drought retention contingency plan for water. By motion, seconded and unanimous vote to enact a drought retention contingency plan to allow outside watering in a voluntary manner. Odd numbered addresses to water on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; even numbered addresses to water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Although this is voluntary we would like the community to participate as this will help keep water levels where they need to be this summer.
